The Italian Factory for Manufacturing Metal & Iron

Resilience Forged in Crisis

The Italian Factory for Manufacturing Metal & Iron, located in Port Sudan, stands as a powerful testament to industrial resilience. Established during the war in Sudan, the factory was born out of a bold decision by the CEO Emad Al Zayat, who refused to halt production at a time when the country needed it most.

While other operations paused due to conflict, Zat Al-Emad Group pushed forward, choosing Port Sudan for its strategic location along the Red Sea ensuring continuous access to international supply routes and safeguarding national steel availability.

Key Highlights:

  • Established during wartime to sustain national steel production.
  • Facility size: 30,000 square meters, with 3 production hangars.
  • Monthly production capacity: 6,000 tons.
  • Equipped for full-spectrum manufacturing: rebar, coils, galvanized sheets and structural steel.

Strategic Role:

The Italian Factory plays a dual role ensuring steady supply to the eastern region and operating as a key logistics and export point to neighboring markets. It reflects the Group’s core values of perseverance, leadership and national responsibility.

Building resilience. Empowering nations.

From steel to sustainability, Zat Al-Emad Group remains committed to shaping Sudan’s future and connecting regional markets with purpose and precision.
